March 20th-26th

(3/20) Work day for Dad & me.  Kathy said the boys had a great day.  Napped real well and D even took some bananas and oatmeal.  Woot!

With Oma

(3/21) What a beautiful day!  Baby boys had their time with Nanan, and I took C to preschool.  Nanan stayed a little bit after preschool and let Mama go for a run, and then we all had dinner together.  It was a lovely low-key day & was just what the doctor ordered.

(3/22) Day with Dad for the little guys.  C went off to preschool and stayed over at Jordan's house after.  I worked all day, and then took a class in the evening, stopping by home to feed babies, and then I was off again.  They had a good day - they always sleep so well for their daddy.

(3/23) Poor D.  Kathy called and said he had thrown up a few times this morning.  Dad worked a morning shift so that we could leave for the Tri-Cities this evening, so we both took off early from work.  Thankfully, he was a happy baby throughout the afternoon with no more vomiting, so we were still able to make the trip.

Boys did great on their first long trip.  We stopped for dinner around 6:30p and I changed and fed them, and we didn't hear a peep out of them until we were almost at Oma & Opa's.  D was a little fussy at the end, but not too bad.  We got there and enlisted the grandparents' help in keeping them awake for a bit, and then put them down about an hour later than normal.

(3/24) At Oma & Opa's.  J slept until around 8, and then pitched a fit when the family sat down to a blintz (!!!) breakfast. We broke some pears out for him so he could join us.  D woke up around 9 and joined us for breakfast as well.  He was more interested in putting a hand in my food than eating.  And with yesterday's tummy troubles, I'm glad he didn't want solid foods this morning.

(3/25) All three boys went to church with Oma & Opa today to be shown off.  Apparently, they were quite the hit.  Oma called ahead and made sure someone was in the baby room and was aware of our sensitive D, and he got his own person for the service.  He took a nice, long nap after the service and J went down a few hours later since he snoozed through all the fawning.

(3/26) Today we're headed back over the mountains and back to routine.  It was a fun vacation!

March 13th-19th

(3/13) J was on nap-strike today for Kathy.  He was totally exhausted by 7:30, so I went ahead and put him down and then played with D for another hour.  Thankfully, he went down without much fuss, unlike last night.  Let's just say I was a zombie today.

(3/14) Nanan time for the twinsies.  J didn't nap that great again today, but he was a happy boy, so I guess that's good.

I'm definitely feeling ridges on both boys' gums.  I bet we'll be seeing teeth pop through here soon!  J is gnawing on everything, and poor D is drooling so much, he soaks whatever is under him while he's sleeping, and wakes with a rashy face.

They were so cute when I checked on them tonight.  Both of them were sleeping with their legs tucked under and their butts in the air.

(3/15)  Dad says that D is furiously working on crawling today.   He's been having a tough time going to sleep the last few nights.  You can tell he's exhausted, but those limbs just keep flailing about like he's swimming. I'm looking forward to / dreading him mastering that skill... at least I can get some sleep!

(3/16) Yay, TGIF!  I am so in need of a weekend!

Kathy said it was the Denton show today.  D decided to take micro naps and J had a nice, 3 hr one in there.  They also took an 8 oz bottle of formula on top of the milk I'd left for them.  Can't.keep.up!!  Good thing J will at least eat solids.  This is crazy.

(3/17) We had a laaaaazy day today and it was awesome.  We had no commitments, so just took the day to do a whole lot of nothing.  I took the boys' pictures today and dressed them in green for St Paddy's Day.  Well, they were in green until someone (J) decided to revisit the carrots from lunch.  Yummy.

Oma and Opa dropped by this afternoon while J was sleeping.  D had just woken up and wasn't ready to be social. He was fine when he was standing on my lap.  He's getting very strong lately and stands with minimal support.  Eep!

(3/18)  Oma and Opa came for breakfast, but the twins slept through it.  I left for pedis with a friend in the morning and came home to two hungry boys, despite just having had a bottle plus green beans for J.  I put J down for a nap, leaving D out to play for a bit since he had only been up for an hour or so and came back down to discover he had found his thumb and passed out.  Dad watched the napping boys (read: napped too) while I went out for a run and then went out to grocery shop and pick up some teethers for the boys.  I realized we had lots of toys, but none of the teething variety.  Whoops!

J is getting really good at grabbing everything - my hair, sweatshirt strings, etc and directing it right to his mouth.  He can also grab the ring of his pacifier (which he munches on when I'm feeding D at bedtime), and pull it out / put it back in his mouth.  D has found his voice this week and is now yelling like J.  He is getting much sturdier and is able to be in the exercsaucers without being propped up.  Unless he's tired.  Then he's still floppy.   J is starting to scoot on his belly and can get across the bed.  Definitely have to keep an eye on him now!

(3/19) Happy Monday! Little boys are home today with Dad and C has preschool. Hope they have a good day!

* J is in green long-sleeves today. D is in the short sleeves with the monkey on the chest.
