September 18th-24th

(9/18) Sounds like the boys had a good day today. It was a work day for Dad & me, and the boys were with Kathy.  It's a whirlwind once I get home trying to get dinner done, boys fed, played with, and then all the sudden, it's bedtime.  D is getting pretty good at climbing the blanket pile to bring himself to a stand. I'm pretty sure he could stand up using a chair, but he hasn't tried it yet.  Speaking of, we have to keep the bar chairs's backs to the bar, or J will test them until he finds the one squeaky spindle and/or will pull the chair over on himself. If you say "No," he'll shake his head and go do whatever it was to which you just said no.

(9/19) And they have discovered the Tupperware.

We had a nice day today.  D was full of beans and kept screeching "DADADADADA" at me all day. Both boys played hard this morning and crashed when I took C to school. I tried to put them down for a longer nap when we returned, but they instead talked to each other for about 45 minutes. I got them up, and took them to the park, and J was so tired he kept saying "All done, all done, all done!" while trying to lay down in the bark.  The boys zonked again on the way to get C.  Two car naps managed to get us just to 7pm, when I called the game, and put them all in bed.

(9/20) The boys had their day with Dad, and we had a date night this evening at the comedy club.  Nanan came to watch the trio for us.  So great to have family close by!

(9/21) Work day for Dad & me. Sounds like all the boys had a good day.  We had spaghetti tonight, which is always messy but well received.  I swear we go through at least a box of noodles between the five of us!

(9/22) Dad had a rare Saturday off, so I took off for some quality running time with the girlfriends in the AM.  I got home after the twins had gone down for a nap. The Tips home opener was tonight (we lost badly... boo!). Nanan came and watched the little boys.

(9/23) D has a new skill - he is now pulling to a stand everywhere.  Yay!  Only, he does this and then can't get down, so gets mad. The twins were extra grumpy and tired this morning, so I tried putting them down for a morning nap.  I heard "All done!" over the monitor and then silence.  Shortly thereafter D started screeching.  He was standing up with his arms splayed out, stuck in a stand, but unable to do much about it.  I brought him downstairs where he grumped some more, so I took him back up, where he grumped, and then got stuck again.  I guess it's just going to be a loud, nap-strikey kind of day.

(9/24) Happy Monday.

Eleven Months

(9/11) Happy elevensies!

Ahh, vacation! We went to the park after breakfast today with Sarah & fam.  D kept eating the bark.  Seriously, it's like we don't feed them. J would at least pile it up, giving me a chance to distract D from more fiber.

The boys got to go on the swings for the first time and they loved it!  It's definitely time to go get the boys shoes.  J is so close to walking, and I had them roaming around in their socks today.

(9/12) I want a do-over for today.  I caught some kind of bug that knocked me flat.  I'm soooo glad that Dad was home to watch kiddos, because I was only up for short stints, and little things like changing the twins was completely exhausting.

(9/13)  Hooray!  I felt human again today!  The twins and I had a lazy day, and Dad ferried C to school and back.  J helped me do the dishes (he unloads and drools - both important duties!), and both boys helped me eat everything in record time.  Read: they ate all my food.  Good thing I wasn't very hungry.

J stood for 10 seconds today!  He is furniture cruising like nobody's business, and walking is just around the corner.

(9/14) Nice day today.  Dad was back at work, but we spent a quiet day together. We dropped C off at kindy and then came home so the twins could nap. Everyone was in a great mood this evening, and we had a fun time.  I had J in stitches ~ every time he would crawl by, I would tickle him him and then he'd roll over giggling and come back for more.  Silly boy!

D pulled up to a stand all by himself today.  Yay, D!

(9/15) Met up with Sarah today and we took the littles to Sbux and the park.  It has been a LOOONG time since we've pushed just little ones in the strollers to the park.  Brings back fond memories. On the way, we passed a garage sale selling lots of baby toys, so I picked up a walker and a riding giraffe for a whopping $3.  Then we walked all the way home.  I'm sure I was quite the sight.  J shared his seat with the giraffe and the walker was hanging out of the stroller's basket.  The boys were so exhausted by all that walking that they were zonked when we got back.  Thankfully, my boys let me bring them home, feed them lunch, and then put them down again for a marathon nap (3 hrs!).

(9/16) Last day of staycation for me! We're off to collect C from Granddad's and Grandma's and take C to swim lessons.  Then home for a lazy day. Love Sundays.

(9/17) And back to work I gooooooo...

September 4th-10th

(9/4) Back to routine!  School starts up tomorrow, so the boys were ferried over to Kathy's house. The littles had a great day & Kathy said they ate for a good 45 mins straight.  Yep, sounds like our boys.

(9/5) First day of school for C!  Dad made Dutch Babies for him, so the littles got their first ones.  Yum!  J fell asleep in the car on the way to school, so I held him while we were dropping off C.

(9/6) Today Dad took the little boys to launch rockets after school.  They mainly just chilled in the stroller, and J only got upset by one of the last rockets launched.  We met up afterward and went out to dinner.  We sat across from four lovely older ladies.  Dad said, "Babies: making little old ladies happy since 2011."  They got several compliments, even with D periodically screaming at his food.

Boys and Mateo @ rocket launching
(9/7) I got off early from work today, so was able to get home and meet C after school.  When we got back to Kathy's, J took one look at me and took his toy and tried to run off in the other direction.  LOL!  He really loves it!

Nanan watched the kiddos for me tonight while Sarah & I went to the M's game with my work.  Fun!

(9/8) Fun day today!  The boys slept in and I had the afternoon with just the little guys, since the big one went home with Nanan.  I put them down for a nap around 11:30a and they slept until 3p. We shared some cottage cheese and then went over to Grandma & Granddad's for dinner and fireworks (Lighthouse festival).  Well, I enjoyed the fireworks since the little boys were asleep.

(9/9) Lazy Sunday at our house.  The boys slept in late (8:30a for J; 10a for D) and we're going to spend the afternoon hanging about the house.  D is SO close to standing up.  He is now climbing the blanket pile and leaning against the toy basket to get halfway up.  He can get to his knees.  I bet by next week, he'll be pulling up too!

(9/10)  Shortest work week ever!  I am on vacation after today! Yay!

August 28th-September 3rd

(8/28) The men were in a great mood this evening!  So smiley and giggly.  Sarah said they had a fun day and that both of them just take off for the play room as soon as they get to her house.  D practiced saying "Denton!" all the way home today.

(8/29) I took the twinsies to the park this morning to visit with Sarah & co, and left when they were just starting to get cranky.  We made a quick stop at the library and I noted that it was too quiet on our way back.  Doh!  They fell asleep in the whopping 5 minutes it took to get home.  Sigh.  I woke them up, fed them lunch, and then put them down in an attempt to get a better nap.  D practiced saying "JJ!" and J was cackling over the monitor for about 30 minutes.  Nanan came to watch them so C & I could go swimming and she said they did end up sleeping for about 1.5 hrs.  They were so very done early tonight with only that nap, so I went ahead and put them down.

(8/30) The twins woke early this morning and I stalled as long as possible hoping that they might go back to sleep.  Nope.  I picked up D and was greeted with "Dada!"  He gets all the credit.  Hope the boys have a good day ~ they're home with Dad today, and I am at work.

(8/31) I was a bad mom today.  We were let off early from work, so I came home and worked in the yard, and went for a run before fetching the boys from Sarah's.  Dinner was messy (black beans), so it was bath night, which all three boys seem to enjoy.

Hard to see....
but J has crazy hair today.
(9/1) LOL!  D has called me "Dada!" all morning and is calling Dad "Rah-rah" (Sarah).  Hee!

(9/2)  Wow!  We sure wore the boys out.  They slept from 11:30a-4:15p.  They were happy and social at Clark's party and ate and ate and ate like usual.  J even talked me out of a bite of lemon meringue.  Yum! D and I fought all the way to the party.  I would say "Mama" and he would respond with "Dada."  Guess I'm still Dada.

(9/3) Happy Labor Day!  I am off and running (literally) with the girls today and it will be boys' day at home.
